Magnificent condition.)"</blockquote> This type was struck at the Bern mint 1874-1967. The design is still in use today tho the coin is now copper-nickel. This specimen is struck to the standard of the French two francs of 1866-1920. This date is a rare date in high grade. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins.

Sincona sale 51, lot 4280

This specimen was lot 4280 in Sincona sale 51 (Zürich, October 2018), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,136 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"2 Franken 1907 B, Bern. NGC MS65. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Swiss confederation, two francs of 1907, Bern mint. Magnificent condition.)"

This type was struck at the Bern mint 1874-1967. The design is still in use today tho the coin is now copper-nickel. This specimen is struck to the standard of the French two francs of 1866-1920.
