Switzerland 1907-B franc
This specimen was lot 3311 in Sincona sale 94 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$485 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Eidgenossenschaft, 1 Franken 1907 B, Bern. (confederation of Switzerland, one franc of 1907, Bern mint. NGC MS64.)"
This type was struck 1878-1967 in this alloy at the Bern mint. The design is still in use today tho the coin is now copper-nickel. This specimen is struck to the standard of the French franc of 1866-1920. This is a scarce date but later dates from after World War Two are available for a few dollars in any grade.
