Sincona sale 90, lot 1591

This specimen was lot 1591 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 600 CHF (about US$793 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Leopold I. 1657-1705. 1/6 Dukat 1676, Breslau. Münzwardein Salomon Hammerschmidt. Gutes sehr schön. Leicht gewellt. (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, Good very fine, Slightly wavy flan.)"

This type was struck for Silesia 1669-82, all with mintmaster SHS. The Breslau mint produced 1/12, 1/4, 1/3 and half ducats and coinage for the local bishop.
