The first specimen was lot 40225 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $1,955. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Sardinia. 80 Lire, 1826. NGC AU-58." The second specimen was lot 3034 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 1,200 CHF (about US$1,606 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted, "House of Savoy / Sardinia, Carlo Felice, 1821-1831. 80 Lire 1826, Torino. Fast vorzüglich. Kleine Kratzer (About extremely fine, Small scratches)."
