Sincona sale 33, lot 3334

This specimen was lot 3334 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 550 CHF (about US$653 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"UNGARN. Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835 Dukat 1834. Kremnitz. Fast vorzüglich. (kingdom of Hungary, Francis II, 1792-1835, ducat of 1834, Kremnitz mint. About extremely fine.)"

This type of 1830-35 is noted as fairly common. Ducats were struck for Hungary as late as 1881.
