This specimen was lot 24801 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $4,700. The catalog description[1] noted, "Alexander I 10 Zlotych 1825-IB, XF40 NGC, a nicely struck coin, cleaned at one time with moderate handling in the obverse fields. Very rare date." This issue was struck 1823-25 while Poland was under Russian rule (1815-1918). Ten złotych equaled one and a half rubles. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1841.
Recorded mintage: unknown but few.
