This specimen was lot 22272 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "BERMUDA. 50 Dollars, 1990. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Commemorating the Sommer Islands "Hogge Money" issues, this piece features a galleon as well as an immensely pleasing cameo nature. Wholly captivating." This NCLT accompanied a similar gold ten dollars (KM 74), 25 dollars (KM 75) and 100 dollars (KM 77).
Recorded mintage: 500.
