This specimen was lot 75693 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. Rial, SH 1346 (1967). Tehran Mint. Muhammad Reza Pahlavi. PCGS MS-64." This type was struck in large numbers SH 1338-1354 and this is the commonest date. The shah was overthrown in 1979 and he died the next year.

Recorded mintage: 155,321,000.

Specification: 1.75 g, copper-nickel, 18.3 mm diameter.
