Switzerland 1968 10 rappen rev DSLR.jpg

This type was struck in copper-nickel at the Bern mint 1879-2024. It was struck in pure nickel 1932-41. The nickel issues were demonetized in 2004; being magnetic, they were rejected by coin counting machinery. The "B" mintmark was deleted for 1970-85. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins.

Recorded mintage: 14,065,000.

Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19.15 mm diameter, plain edge.

Catalog reference: KM 27.
