This specimen was lot 72768 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 2000 Kronor, 2001-B. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Nobel Prize Centennial issue. Virtually flawless with a touch of vivid orange tone that concentrates at the edges on both sides." This type was accompanied by a silver 200 kronor (KM 919).
Recorded mintage: 5,000.
Specifications: 12 g, 0.900 fine gold, 26 mm diameter.
