This specimen was lot 1133 in Sincona sale 85 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 425 CHF (about US$572 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN, Muzaffar al-Din Shah, 1313-1324 AH (1896-1907). 100 Dinars 1321 AH (1903/1904 AD), Tehran Mint. Copper-Nickel. NGC MS65. Cabinet piece. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 200. Tied with two others for finest certified by NGC."
The SCWC lists this type for AH 1318, 1319, 1321, 1326, 1332 and 1337, the latter three dates being posthumous. A 1321/19 overdate is reported. This was the second smallest denomination struck during the reign of Muzaffar al-Din Shah.
Recorded mintage: 5,000,000.
