Chile 1893 centavo rev DSLR.jpg

This copper centavo was minted in Santiago, Chile, in 1878-98. It superseded a copper-nickel type of 1870-77 (KM 146) which is much scarcer. The type is not rare but uncirculated specimens are few.

Recorded mintage: 115,000.

Specification: copper, plain edge.

Catalog reference: KM 146a.
