This specimen was lot 941 in Sedwick sale 34 (Winter Park, FL, November 2023), where it sold for $390. The catalog description[1] noted, "Cordoba, Argentina, 1/4 real, 1833, NGC Fine 15, rare. Evenly struck full details and contrasting toning, making for a much better coin than the grade indicates, desirable first date of issue." This type was also struck in 1838; neither date is common. The coinage for Cordoba runs 1833-54.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 0.7-0.8 g, silver, probably debased.
Catalog reference: Janson-2.1.2; KM-1.1.
