Sincona sale 86, lot 1827

This specimen was lot 1827 in Sincona sale 86 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,693 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Elizabeth II. 1952-2022. Proof 5 Pounds 2015, Royal Mint Llantrisant. Gold. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. Rare. Only 500 pieces struck. NGC PF69 ULTRA CAMEO. No. 142 of 500 proof sets."

Recorded mintage: 500.

Specification: 39.97 g, 0.917 fine gold, 36 mm diameter, this specimen 39.95 g.
