This specimen was lot 23459 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $4,112.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 25 Cents 1921, MS64 PCGS, a nice lustrous example of this key date with soft toning in the legends. Rarely available in this superior quality. From The Nikita Collection." The type was struck in sterling silver 1912-19 and in 0.800 fine silver 1920-36. The depression which set in after World War One caused mintages to drop. This date is scarce and rare in choice condition. No quarters were struck 1922-26.
