Steve Album sale 30, lot 933
Nepal SA30-933r.jpg

This specimen was lot 933 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $440.63. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEPAL: Prithvi Vira, 1881-1911, AV mohar, SE1820, slightly scraped towards the center, AU." This type is listed for SE 1804-1833 (1882-1911) and is scarce. Confusingly, the mohar was also struck in silver (KM 651.2). Some coins are dated using the Saka Era (SE) and others using the Bikram Samvat Era (VS).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 5.60 grams, gold, this specimen 5.54 g.

Catalog reference: KM-673.1, Fr-17.
