The first specimen was lot 43189 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Sovereign, 2017. NGC PROOF-70 ULTRA CAMEO. From a mintage of only 13,050, one of the first 200 struck. Commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the modern Sovereign, from a version of the original design by B. Pistrucci. Accompanied with original display case and COA #134." The second specimen was lot 1838 in Sincona sale 86 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 1,100 CHF (about US$1,481 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"Elizabeth II. 1952-2022. Proof Sovereign 2017, Royal Mint Llantrisant. 8.00 g. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the modern Sovereign. Obverse portrait by Jody Clark, reverse design as 1817 Sovereign. Only 10,486 pieces struck (+2,195 coins included in sets). NGC PF70 ULTRA CAMEO."

Recorded mintage: 13,050.

Specification: 7.98 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.2354 troy oz AGW, reeded edge.

Catalog reference: KM-unlisted, S-SC12. The second specimen is Hill 349, Spink SC11.
