In 1931, as the result of a coinage reform, this half rial was introduced and struck in silver until 1936. It was replaced by an aluminum bronze fifty dinars (KM 1142).
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 2.5 g, .828 fine silver, .066 troy oz ASW, 18 mm diameter.
