This specimen was lot 25479 in Heritage sale 3015 (Long Beach, September 2011), where it sold for $3,737.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 100 Soles 1959, MS65 PCGS, fully lustrous and lightly prooflike." This denomination, struck 1950-69, was theoretically a circulating coin but actually was a bullion piece like her sisters, the gold five, ten, fifty and twenty soles.

Specification: 46.807 g, 0.900 fine gold, 1.354 troy oz AGW.
