This specimen was lot 20352 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description[1] noted, "CYPRUS. 4 1/2 Piastres, 1901. NGC MS-63. A very exclusive coin in this elite grade; tied with one other piece for finest graded at NGC. All white and brilliant, a coin that leaves little else to be desired for quality, and easily ends the search for a high grade example." This silver 4½ piastres was struck during the reign of Victoria, queen of Great Britain 1837-1901. Tho denominated in piastres, it is the same size and weight as a British sixpence.
