The specimen shown is a twelth écu à la mèche longue struck at Aix during the reign of Louis XIV of France. It was lot 1359 in CGB sale 31 (Paris, June 2007). The type was issued 1646-60 and is common. Droulers[1] prices this date about 10% more than the common 1658-N.
Recorded mintage: 263,769[1].
