This specimen was lot 71405 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 5 Ore, 1907. PCGS MS-64 Brown Gold Shield. A glamorous example that is far better than most extant. The coin exhibits a glossy appearance and worthy of a strong bid." This one year type was struck in 1907, the year Norway obtained her independence from Sweden. The monogram is of the new king, Haakon VII. This module was used for this denomination until 1973, with interruptions during the two world wars.
Recorded mintage: 200,000.
Specification: 8 g, bronze, 27 mm diameter.
