The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in Austria, 2002-2007. The admission of additional members caused the reverse to be redesigned in 2007 to show the enlarged zone (KM 3142).

Recorded mintage: 223,500,000 plus 100,000 BU's for sets plus 10,000 proofs.

Specification: 7.5 g., Bi-Metallic Copper-Nickel center in Brass ring, 23.25 mm diameter. Obv: Bust of Mozart right within inner circle, stars in outer circle by Josef Kaiser; Rev: Value at left, expanded relief map of European Union at right by Luc Luycx; Edge: Reeded and plain sections.
