This two euro coin was issued in 2010 to commeorate the 70th anniversary of de Gaulle's radio appeal to France to keep fighting the Nazis after the Vichy regime had surrendered. Dismissed at the time, his efforts led to the creation of the Freen French movement which helped liberate France. A two euro coin of the regular design was also issued in 2010 but only for collector sets.

Recorded mintage: 20,000 + 10,000 proofs.

Specification: 8.52 g., Bi-Metallic Brass center in Copper-Nickel ring, 25.6 mm diameter.
