This design was struck at Philadelphia (shown here), New Orleans and San Francisco 1840-60. It known as the Seated Liberty, With Drapery type. This subtype, struck 1856-60 after the weight was reduced in 1853, is common and this is a fairly common date thereof.

Recorded mintage: 430,000[2], a slightly better date.

Specification: 2.49 g, .900 fine silver, reeded edge.
