This specimen was lot 3336 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $96. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN: Ahmad Shah, 1909-1924, AV 5000 dinars, AH1335, choice EF, ex Dabestani Collection." This type is listed for AH 1331-1343 (1912-24) with several dates valued at barely above bullion. This denomination was also struck in silver (KM 1058).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.44 g, 0.900 fine gold.
