At the time, the monetary system was 12 penning = 1 skilling, 16 skillings = 1 mark, 4 mark = 1 krone, 6 mark = 1 daler specie, 2 daler specie = 1 ducat. This coin was theoretically one fourth of a daler specie but is a little light on silver. This denomination was struck until 1783. [[Norway]] was a part of [[Denmark]] until 1814.

At the time, the monetary system was 12 penning = 1 skilling, 16 skilling = one mark, 4 mark = one krone, 6 mark = one daler specie, 2 daler specie = one ducat. This coin was theoretically one fourth of a daler specie but is a little light on silver. This denomination was struck until 1783. Norway was a part of Denmark until 1814.
