This specimen was lot 1309 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $94. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE: Louis XV, 1715-1774, AR 12 sols, Orléans, 1760-R. Date unlisted for Orléans in KM, but listed as scarce date by Gadoury, VF, R." This coin, called a 1/10 écu au bandeau, was the French equivalent of a dime. This issue is priced[2] as very scarce.
