This specimen was lot 2238 in Jean Elsen sale 145 (Brussels, September 2020), where it sold for €2,350 (about US$3,349 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SUEDE, Johan III (1568-1592), AR daler, 1579. D/ B. couronné et cuir. du roi à d., au-dessus de son écu, ten. un gl. cr. et son épée sur l'épaule. R/ Le Christ rédempteur deb. de f., ten. un gl. cr. Nettoyé, quelques taches. Griffes sur la tranche et trace de bélière. Exemplaire bien frappé, rare dans cette qualité. Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of Sweden, John III, 1568-92, silver daler of 1579. Obverse: crowned and armored bust of the king to right, holding a sword and an orb, arms below; reverse: Christ standing, facing, holding an orb. Cleaned, some stains, scratches on the edge and a trace of mounting. A well struck example, rare in this quality, Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"
