This specimen was lot 8014 in Ponterio sale 150 (Los Angeles, August 2009), where it sold for $2,300. The catalog description noted, "BAHAMAS. 5 Pounds, 1936. P-12b. This British Administration Five Pound note is one of the nicest we have seen showing paper quality that is second-to-none. The embossing of the design and overprints jump through the paper to the reverse and attest to the note's originality. Deep ink and fresh white paper round out the lovely attributes associated with this piece. UNCIRCULATED."
