This specimen was lot 2523 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $90. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Jahangir, 1605-1628, AE dam, Agra, AH1022 year 8, legend falus jahangiri sana 8 // mint & date, VF." This mint struck this type years 6-12. Other mints included Ahmadabad, Ajmer, Bairata, Burhanpur, Delhi, Gobindpur, Kabul, Narnol, Srinagar and Udaipur. The type has a low catalog value but few are in collectible condition, being poorly struck, worn and corroded. One rupee was forty dams.
