Künker sale 386, lot 6293

This specimen was lot 6293 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €200 (about US$259 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND, 1 DM 1958, D. Polierte Platte. Exemplar der Sammlung Coenen. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 144, Osnabrück 2008, Nr. 5586. (Federal Republic of Germany, one mark of 1958, proof.)"

This type was struck for circulation in 1950 and 1954-94. This is a product of the Munich mint. The issues of 1995-2001 were for collector sets only.

Recorded mintage: 4,150,000 plus 200 proofs.

Specification: 5.5 g, copper-nickel, 23.5 mm diameter.
