This specimen was lot 2172 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €20,000 (about US$27,834 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, Karl Eugen, 1744-1793. Dukat 1744, Stuttgart. Geharnischtes Brustbild r. mit umgelegter Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies, unten die Stempelschneidersignatur VS (Veit Schrempf)//Vierfeldiges Wappen mit Mittelschild in verzierter Kartusche, darüber Fürstenhut, unten der Stern des Jagdordens und das Münzmeisterzeichen S S . (Simon Schnell, Münzmeister in Stuttgart 1744-1745), zu den Seiten die geteilte Jahreszahl 17 - 44. GOLD. Äußerst selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz.
