This specimen was lot 3318 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''Pietro Leopoldo di Lorena, 1765-1790 1/2 Francescone 1790. Florenz Prägung als Kaiser Leopold II. Selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. Fast FDC. Feine Tönung.'' ([[Italy]], grand duchy of Tuscany, Peter Leopold of Lorraine, 1765-90, half francescone of 1790, Florence mint, struck with his title of emperor. Scarce in this quality, choice uncirculated, fine toning.)"</blockquote> This one year type is rare, much rarer than the accompanying one francescone ([[Tuscany 1790 francescone Dav-1518|Dav-1518]]). Despite the "PISIS" stamped on the reverse, this coin was struck in Florence, not Pisa.
