This specimen was lot 2139 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €3,800 (about US$5,289 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''SCHLESIEN, LIEGNITZ-BRIEG, HERZOGTUM, Johann Christian und Georg Rudolf, 1602-1621. Dukat 1607, Reichenstein. GOLD. R Kl. Henkelspur, sehr schön-vorzüglich.'' ([[Germany]], duchy of [[German States, Silesia|Silesia]]-Liegnitz-Brieg, John Christian and George Rudolf, 1602-21, ducat of 1607, Reichenstein mint. Rare, small mount mark, very fine to extremely fine.)"</blockquote> Silesia is considered a German State even tho the province was then under [[Austria]]n rule and is now in [[Poland]]. The coinage ceased when the last of the local dukes died in 1675. This scarce type was struck 1606-09.
