This specimen was lot 2184 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 4,750 CHF (about US$5,766 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''GERMANY | Pfalz | -Kurlinie. Philipp I. 1476-1508. Goldgulden 1506, Neumarkt, für die Oberpfalz. Münzmeister Matthias Lerch. Sehr selten. Sehr schön.'' ([[Germany]], [[German States, Pfalz|electorate of the Palatinate]], Philip I, 1476-1508, goldgulden of 1506, Neumarkt mint, for the Upper Palatinate. Very rare, Very fine.)"</blockquote> The Palatinate, on the border with France, was divided several times. This rare type is listed for 1500-06.
