This specimen was lot 30972 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Italy]]: [[Italy, Naples & Sicily|Naples & Sicily]]. Carlo of Bourbon gold 2 Ducati 1753 MM-RDG MS65 NGC. A stylistically interesting issue struck with a somewhat two-dimensional style of portraiture, the surfaces immensely well-kept, handling being confined to only limited wisps in the fields. The finest of its type certified by NGC." This type was struck 1749-55. Four and four ducati (Fr-844, [[Naples and Sicily 1753-DG MMR 6 ducati Fr-843|Fr-843]]) were also emitted using this design.
