This specimen was lot 3791 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it sold for 20,000 CHF (about US$25,296 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''DEUTSCHLAND Jülich-Kleve-Berg, Herzogtum Karl Philipp von Pfalz-Neuburg, 1716-1742. 5 Dukaten 1717, Düsseldorf. Auf den Einzug in die neue Residenz. Von grosser Seltenheit. Fassungssp. und Kr. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich.'' ([[Germany]], duchy of julich-Cleve-Berg, Charles Philip of Pfalz-Neuburg, 1716-42, five ducats of 1717, Dusseldorf mint, on the opening of the new palace. Of the highest rarity, mount removed, extremely fine.)"</blockquote>  Like most five ducats of the period, this issue is rare. Julich-Berg later passed to Bavaria, then was overrun by Napoleon, then passed to Prussia in 1814.
