This specimen was lot 926 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €3,000 (about US$4,044 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''JEVER, HERRSCHAFT, Maria, 1536-1575. Taler 1567, Jever. Danielstaler. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Attraktives Exemplar mit feiner Tönung, winz. Randfehler, sehr schön +. Exemplar der Slg. Bernhard Terletzki. Erworben im April 2001 von Manfred Olding, Osnabrück.'' (lordship of Jever, Maria, 1536-75, "Daniel's" thaler of 1567, Jever mint. Scarce in this quality, attractive example with nice toning, some rim bumps, very fine or better.)"</blockquote> This issue is nicknamed the "Danielsthaler" as it depicts Daniel in the lions' den. Dav-9338, -A9339 and [[Jever 1561 thaler Dav-9339|-9339]] have the same nickname.
