This specimen was lot 4922 in Goldberg sale 74 (Los Angeles, June 2013), where it sold for $264.50 including buyer's fees. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Netherlands - Holland. Lion Daalder, 1604. NGC graded AU-55." Lion daalders were struck in most of the provinces that today make up the Netherlands. This type is recorded in the SCWC for [[Netherlands, Holland|Holland]] for 1589-1605 with various mintmarks. The later type ([[Holland 1609 daalder Dav-4858|Dav-4858]]) had the date at the top of the reverse.
