This specimen was lot 56376 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[India|INDIA]]. [[India, Baroda|Baroda]]. Rupee, AH 1287 (1870). Malhar Rao (under Victoria as Empress). NGC EF-40." A standard, dumpy rupee (KM Y12, struck AH 1274-1287) also exists and is considerably more common. Malhar Rao (r. 1870-75) was the eleventh maharaja of Baroda.
