This specimen was lot 1580 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,643 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Erzherzog Leopold V. 1619-1632. 1/2 Taler 1623, Hall. Sehr selten. Vorzüglich. Hübsche Patina.'' ([[Austria|Holy Roman Empire]], archduke Leopold V, 1619-32, half thaler of 1623, Hall mint. Very rare, Extremely fine, Attractively toned.)"</blockquote> Of the several half thalers listed for Austria in 1623 (see also KM 446 and 447), this issue of 1620-24 is the most common.
