This specimen was lot 3055 in Sincona sale 91 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$400 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''SCHWEIZ Basel, Stadt und Kanton, Taler 1622, Basel. Die Jahreszahl geschrieben als 16ZZ. Gutes sehr schön.'' ([[Switzerland]], [[Switzerland, Basel|canton of Basel]], thaler of 1622, Basel mint, with the date engraved as 16ZZ. Good very fine.)"</blockquote> The city issued three different thalers in 1622: [[Basel 1622 thaler Dav-4603|KM 67/Dav-4603]] (basilisks supporting arms/eagle), KM 79.1/Dav-4604 (city arms in quadrilobe, shown here) and KM 80 (klippe).
