Zurich (15)89 schilling
The first specimen was lot 5616 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$181 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton. Schilling 1589, Zürich. Münzmeister Stampfer. Sehr schön- vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, schilling of 1589, Zürich mint. Very Fine-Extremely Fine.)"
The second specimen was lot 5617 in the same sale, where it sold for 850 CHF (about US$1,281 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton. Schillingklippe 1589, Zürich. Sehr selten. Kleine Kratzer. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion SINCONA 29, Zürich, Mai 2016, Los 2645. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, klippe schilling of 1589, Zürich mint. Very rare, Small scratches, Very Fine-Extremely Fine.)"
This type was struck 1518-19, 1526-27, 1530, 1533, 1555, 1584, 1588-94 and undated. One thaler was 72 schilling. Numista reports the klippe is known in regular weight and 1½ weight (shown here).

Specification: 1.25 g, billon, 21 mm diameter, the first specimen 1.20 g, the second specimen 1.74 g.
