This specimen was lot 75674 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $170.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "YEMEN. 1/2 Ahmadi Riyal, AH 1377 (1957/8). Sana'a Mint. al-Nasir Ahmad bin Yahya. PCGS MS-65." Al-Nasir Ahmad bin Yahya, despot of Yemen, took power in AH 1367 / 1948 AD after his father and predecessor Yahya bin Muhammad died in a coup attempt. This half riyal was struck AH 1377-1382. It has a four digit date, missing on many of the smaller denominations. Another variety, KM Y16.1, has the mint name turned inward.
