Sincona sale 80, lot 2950

This specimen was lot 2950 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$216 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"ITALY | Venice, Pietro Lando, 1539-1545. Marcello o. J. Venezia. Vorzüglich. Feine Patina. (Italy, republic of Venice, Peter Lando, 1539-45, undated marcello, Venice mint. Extremely fine, Nicely toned.)"

From the very scanty documentation available to us, the marcello was half a lira.
