This specimen was lot 75787 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Venice. Soldino, ND (1356-61). Venice Mint. Giovanni Dolfin. PCGS MS-62." The soldino was introduced early in the fourteenth century under doge Francesco Dandolo at a standard of 0.95 g, 0.670 fine silver. This issue of Giovanni Dolfin is quite a bit lighter and may be debased as well. Twenty soldini made a lira.
