This specimen was lot 1266 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "VATICAN: Pius XII, 1939-1958, 2 lire, 1946, NGC graded MS65." This type was struck 1942-46 in Rome for pope Pius XII. Only the 1942 is common.
