This type was struck in 1973 only and is a product of the Mexico mint. It was the last coin issued before the reform of 1975. The sixties saw the beginning of the hyperinflation that would devour Uruguayan prosperity and aggravate the right wing/Marxist conflicts of the seventies.
Recorded mintage: 20,000,000.
