This United States note bears the signatures of Ivy Baker Priest (Treasurer of the United States, January 1953 to January 1961) and George M. Humphrey (Secretary of the Treasury, January 1953 to July 1957). It is common in worn condition but unusual to be found in circulation as this one was. The second note, series 1953-A, substitutes Robert B. Anderson for Humphrey.
